About Us

The Fort Worth Tennis Association (FWTA) has been advancing and improving tennis in the Fort Worth community since 1958. Founded by the late Kenneth W. Wickett, the FWTA is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Tennis Association (CTA) of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in the USTA Texas section.

Our mission is to encourage and promote the growth of tennis in Fort Worth. We emphasize the importance of developing tennis skills, in addition to sportsmanship, self-reliance and leadership qualities in participants. Importantly, we seek to better the physical well-being of Fort Worth residents through tennis.

Predominantly, we organize and sponsor tournaments, leagues, clinics, school and after-school programs, junior camp and travel scholarships, and league championship travel. Furthermore, we support Tennis on Campus and a myriad of other tennis-related projects.
