In September 2018, the FWTA presented the City of Fort Worth with a check for ~$44,000 to resurface 11 neighborhood courts. This effort is being undertaken in partnership with the City of Fort Worth and the USTA. The City of Fort Worth contributed $35,000, the USTA contributed $19,250, and the FWTA contributed $25,150. Special thanks goes to Richard Zavala, Director of Parks and Community Services, and Councilwoman Ann Zadeh for their support of tennis in Fort Worth.
The courts being resurfaced are as follows: Como Community Center (1), Kellis Park (2), Monticello Park (2), Northside Park (4), Western Hills Park (2).
